With his group, Pierre-François Lenne aims to understand the physical principles that underpin the morphogenesis of animals. He develops and applies quantitative approaches to observe, perturb and predict morphogenetic movements. He studies how cells generate and respond to mechanical forces, from supramolecular interactions at cell-cell contacts to the global shape of tissues.
